For Watches & Wonders 2025, Ircam amplify has designed three exclusive sound experiences for TimeVallée, inviting visitors to experience watchmaking excellence through sound.
In an immersive setting based on directional sound (sound showers), visitors were able to discover the resonance of precision mechanisms, the echo of workshop gestures and the voices of the craftsmen who carry the watchmaking know-how.
In a second experiment, two calibres from exceptional brands were displayed with a high-fidelity microphone aimed at their center: visitors could listen to their beats and rhythm, plunging into the very heart of the complications.
Finally, an immersive sound symphony was broadcast into the space three times a day: an original composition inspired by the mechanical sounds, watchmaking heritage and natural environment of the Vallée de Joux, the symbolic cradle of TimeVallée.
Collaborating with Ircam Amplify for Watches & Wonders 2025 was a game-changer for TimeVallée. Their ability to translate the precision and poetry of watchmaking into sound was nothing short of extraordinary. Visitors were visibly moved by the immersive experiences — from the intimate resonance of calibres to the daily sound symphony echoing the spirit of the Vallée de Joux. It elevated our presence at the event and gave our heritage a whole new sensory dimension. A masterful blend of innovation and emotion.
